While you have made some valuable edits with sources, there are also many unsourced additions with a whole bunch of refs clasped on. Please cite the passage to the ref instead of tagging everything on to the end, because then someone has to go through and clean it up. There were also some unsourced additions.(Lihaas (talk) 12:40, 11 January 2012 (UTC)).[reply]

Nice edits coming along . Just a heads up to add sources (as i see you now did per sentence) and writing has been consistent with WP:MOS and WP:ENGVAR(Lihaas (talk) 17:37, 14 January 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
Once again, kindly see the MOS dor date formats and do not use "&" as it is unencyclopaedic, instead spell out the word as "and"Lihaas (talk) 18:31, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This is the 4th time you are disregarding advice per this edit. WP is not a weblog, there is a MOS for new editors. Please read that.
I can also help you with any questions because your edits are definitely adding valuable info.
See this edit for changes, also note the refs to the sentences instead of collating at the end.(Lihaas (talk) 17:07, 17 January 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
And yet for the FIFTH time you are ignoring polite calls. We don't use "^&" and "th" as you did here [1] per MOS. next time your edits wont be construed as AGF and reverted.(Lihaas (talk) 13:01, 20 January 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
Kindly READ the MOS sheet for dates, etc before editing(Lihaas (talk) 22:45, 22 January 2012 (UTC)).[reply]

Good idea

[edit]

Nice idea to put the polls in the table instead of prose (despite the fact that many people call for it in prose). Anyways, i say you struggled to make it a table so i have done it on the page now ;)Lihaas (talk) 05:06, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I guess you're watching the results coming in...we can add an "analysis" section at the end. And there is a lot of talk of the rahul gandhi flop show (and priyanka was there too this time). Perhaps even compare to that of Bihar.Lihaas (talk) 06:19, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your page does exist, because rather than submitting it to AFC, you created it directly yourself; this is why you weren't notified, because there was nothing to notify you about, unlike with 1982 Gonda encounter, in which case it was accepted by another editor before it was moved into article space. Please do not remove Talk page sections without valid reason as you did with Congress Factions on the Talk page of Indian National Congress.Jonathansammy (talk) 15:08, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jonathansammy, the changes i had done were with consensus and unanimity and there was a valid reason that official social sites like twitter, facebook shouldn't be used for political parties articles, no promotion or publicity should be done in Wikipedia. Only official sites should be used. Here are the discussions after which the action was being done.

The text you removed had nothing to do with Twitter, Facebook or any other social media. All I asked for was what happened to Congress factions and , when did Congress (I) started calling itself Indian National Congress. Thanks. Jonathansammy (talk) 14:12, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, Jonathansammy i don't think i did any changes related to the article, only i had posted a question on the talk page, nothing else. Work2win (talk) 17:47, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jeraphine Gryphon,

Big apology for not able to answer the query in time, well i think Lu is the last name because Chinese people put their surname(family name) first and then their own name.

Thanks,

Meaning of Patrolled

[edit]

Hi Jeraphine Gryphon,

I want to know the meaning of patrolled for knowledge basis. I got the notification mentioning that article Lu Houmin has been patrolled by a user, what does it exactly mean since i did not see any changes in the article after it.

Thanks & Regards,

--Work2win (talk) 21:15, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's nothing, really. When new pages are created (in any namespace), then they have a little link/button at the bottom right corner of the page saying "Mark as patrolled". It's possible only autoconfirmed people can see that link, I don't know. The point of marking pages as patrolled is to confirm that the page is not vandalism or other undesirable material. I think this is the relevant info page: Wikipedia:New pages patrol/patrolled pages. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 08:01, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

stop Do not do that - they can be usually restored using http://archive.org or other means. You are basically removing valid references. Materialscientist (talk) 21:42, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Materialscientist,

Apologies from my side, it won't be repeated.

Work2win (talk) 21:46, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We should keep deadlinks when they can be restored (see WP:DEADLINK); also we should not remove a complete reference when only a url is dead - many references are valid even without urls. Materialscientist (talk) 21:47, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
See also WP:DEADREF. That said, dead links can usually be removed from the "External links" section. Materialscientist (talk) 21:51, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Robert McClenon,

As mentioned, i have removed references 34, 41 and 42 which were having errors. Sorry, i have searched and didn't find equivalent English word for lokayukta, the nearest word is anti-corruption ombudsman which has been mentioned in the page. The Up-lokayukta is having almost same functions as that of a lokayukta, with slight difference in allowances and powers.

  • A Up-lokayukta has lesser allowance than the lokayukta
  • Both lokayukta and up-lokayukta(may be more than one) are appointed by the governor and in case of the selection of up-lokayukta only the governor has a role but he consults the lokayukta also for this.

I have searched the official site, but didn't find the word deputy-lokayukta word, only up-lokayukta

The lokayukta act, 1975 is a bill passed by state legislative assembly of Uttar Pradesh, not by Parliament of India, many individual states in India have their own lokayukta like Maharashtra Lokayukta. 6-5=2

[edit]

Hi there, I've temporarily protected 6-5=2 to get the IP to discuss the "inspired by Blair Witch" changes that he keeps submitting, ([2][3][4]) but you should consider opening a discussion yourself at Talk:6-5=2 if you intend to contest the addition. Alternatively, you might consider leaving a note on the talk page if you intend to drop the stick on this. Frankly, I think that would be a good idea. The problem we had in the past was that the sources being used were ambiguous and the contributors were saying things that were not supported by the references, like claims that the film was based on Blair Witch, vs. inspired by Blair Witch, which are two different ideas. Anyhow, the most recent reference the user has provided would normally be sufficient to support a claim that the film was inspired by Blair Witch, so I don't think the stonewalling is really helping us here. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Srimad Bhagavata Book 1, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gandhari. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Source in Colombo page

[edit]

Hi,

You marked https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colombo#cite_note-Treasure-67 as 'better source needed' on grounds of circularity. I can see that the source isn't ideal for the text it supports, but I don't think it is circular in the sense of being derived from Wikipedia. Do you have any objection to my changing the grounds of 'better source needed'? Shuggaroth (talk) 20:26, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
