Sanctus (Sanctus)

The Sanctus is a Christian liturgical hymn which became part of the Eucharistic prayer in the early fifth century. It consists of two parts: the first is from Isaiah 6:3, and the second is from Matthew 21:9. In some liturgical traditions the second part is omitted.
