Etymology
[edit]Illustrative of actively catching sound, using a movement similar to the ASL sign Bent3@Nose-PalmForward Hook (“actively see”).
Production
[edit]- This one-handed ASL sign is produced with the head tilted toward to the source of the noise:
- Posture the dominant hand in the “Bent 3” handshape at the dominant ear (behind the cheek, above the jaw), palm facing forward.
- Hook the fingers repeatedly to indicate the intensity.
