Ernst Curtius (1814-1896)

German archaeologist and historian; author of Griechische Geschichte (Berlin: Weidmannsche Buchhandlung, 1857-1867).

Processing Information

This collection consists of materials formerly classed as MS Vault Shelves Curtius, MS Vault Curtius, Z111 121, and Z111 O171. In 2013, the collection received a baseline level of processing, including rehousing and minimal organization. Most folder titles were transcribed from original portfolios, while some were assigned by Library staff. Labels and annotations on original portfolios were photocopied, and most original portfolios were discarded. Folder titles were not verified against contents.

Access Information

The Beinecke Library is open to all Yale University students and faculty, and visiting researchers whose work requires use of its special collections. You will need to bring appropriate photo ID the first time you register. Beinecke is a non-circulating, closed stack library. Paging is done by library staff during business hours.
