The outcome of this request for deletion was to Delete. The template was copy/pasted and broken anyone. Not sure why people don't understand it's unsafe to do that. Operator873 connect 05:03, 9 June 2024 (UTC)

Davey2010 has nominated this page for deletion for the reason: Unused template, I don't really know if these sort of templates would be considered complex?, The words are certainly complex but they can be fixed but not sure on the templates themselves, Thanks, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 15:25, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

[change source]- Comment. Maybe it would be better to move this template to Template:Murder if it is kept.- FusionSub (Talk page) (Contributions) 08:34, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- Keep Adding the template to these articles is a pretty quick change, and it is very useful. It would not be complex, either, as if you don't understand what the word means, you click the link, and then learn. The only thing that can be simplified here are the two mentions of "varies by jursidiction". Also, homicide is an umbrella term for killing a person, so murder would be an incorrect term. - I follow Wikipedia:BASIC English alphabetical wordlist and none of the words on the template are there however the articles obviously exist, To me adding these templates with these big words just takes the Simple away and I guess it becomes more of a enwiki duplicate, Maybe I'm over analysing it, Just overcomplicates articles imho, –Davey2010Talk 19:18, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
- In my opinion, the BASIC English alphabetical word list is a list that can be used to describe complex words. The point of simple wikipedia is to explain complex topics. Becoming an enwiki duplicate is not really an issue here, because if we did not want to become and en duplicate, we could make other changes such as making actual changes to the template. Templates such as these are helpful for navigation, however, and without them, the quality of the wiki is reduced. MrMeAndMrMeTalk 15:00, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
- That's a fair point, I also assumed titles had to be Simple too but I guess not, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 15:18, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
