Emergency repair patches were small semi-flexible discs of durasteel with auto-activating thermal welds along the edges, the patch could be used in emergencies to seal small holes in objects, droids, or vehicles, available in the period following the Battle of Yavin during the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
