Savage Opress's lightsaber was a double-bladed lightsaber used by Savage Opress during the Clone Wars. Savage used the lightsaber against foes like Adi Gallia, Katuunko, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Sidious, and many others.
Description[]
Savage Opress's double-bladed lightsaber closely resembled his brother Maul's original lightsaber, but also contained design features similar to Count Dooku's lightsaber, including the emitter guards on both ends. Opress's weapon had an ignition frequency similar to a growl, while the hum of the blade had a much deeper resonance. The lightsaber blade was notably longer than the average lightsabers.[1]
History[]
Opress first used his lightsaber in sparring practice with his master Dooku on the planet Serenno. In battle, he used his weapon against Dooku and Asajj Ventress, as well as Jedi Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Showdown at Toydaria.[1] He again used his weapon against Kenobi alongside his brother Maul on Raydonia[5] and during their campaign of terror across the Outer Rim, during which Maul and Oppress engaged Jedi Finn Ertay and another Jedi in a Outer Rim spaceport. After killing the two Jedi, Maul and Oppress raided the Cybloc Transfer Station.[6]
Later, on Florrum, they attacked the Ohnaka Gang's base, during which he also engaged and murdered Jedi Council member Adi Gallia.[6] He also used his lightsaber to kill several guards and to fight Pre Vizsla during on a plot to overthrow Duchess Satine Kryze that was orchestrated by his brother Maul.[7] Savage used it one last time to fight his brother's former master, Darth Sidious, who fatally impaled the hulking Zabrak with his lightsabers.[8]
