Adjust the volume in Music on Mac
You can change the volume for all songs or for individual songs, or set songs to play at the same volume. Besides listening to your computer’s built-in speakers, you can play audio in the Music app through other speakers such as a HomePod or Bluetooth® speakers.
Go to the Music app on your Mac.
Play music from your library, stream music from Apple Music, play the radio, or play a CD.
To control the volume, do any of the following:
Change the volume for all songs (like turning the volume knob on a stereo): Use the volume slider at the top of the Music window.
The maximum volume is limited by your computer’s volume setting.
Adjust the volume of a particular song or music video: Select it, choose Song > Info, click Options, then drag the volume slider.
Set all songs and music videos to always play at the same volume: Choose Music > Settings, click Playback, then select Sound Check.
To use speakers other than the built-in ones, click , then select the checkbox next to the speaker. These types of speakers are supported:
An AirPlay- or AirPlay 2-enabled device, including HomePod mini, or network speakers (for example, Apple TV played through TV speakers). See Stream video and audio with AirPlay.
