- Gizmo is an Autobot from the Dreamwave portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Gizmo is famous for his, well, gizmos. His best (okay, only) known gizmo is his holomatter projector. He transforms into a little Cybertronic dune buggy.
He likes to die.

Dreamwave Generation One continuity
The Decepticons Frenzy and Rumble mentioned Gizmo as one of the various Autobot casualties while enjoying some downtime, getting to the "G"s in tallying up the known dead. The Age of Wrath Pt.3
2005 IDW continuity
Four million years ago, following an Autobot victory, Gizmo was seen talking to Groove and Download while drinking Energon cubes. The Iron Age
Sometime later, Gizmo was one of the Autobots in Hot Rod's first command, along with Backbeat, Dealer, and Download, assigned on a mission to the Omega Bunker on Ki-Aleta to secure the Magnificence, a mysterious artifact of great power. Gizmo was responsible for setting up his holomatter projector program to disguise their arrival.
Unfortunately, he also received the dubious honor of becoming the first casualty under Hot Rod's first command when the Omega Bunker's guardians destroyed his holoprogram and killed him to death. He wouldn't be the last. Spotlight: Hot Rod
Hot Rod later realized that Dealer was the one who betrayed them and was responsible for their deaths. Gizmo did not go unavenged. Spotlight: Doubledealer
2019 IDW continuity
Gizmo was a hardware specialist stationed at the Titan Net Primary Hub in Iacon. When The Rise uploaded a data-bomb into the net, all the orbiting Titans went down. The sole exception was Vigilem, who started making a menacing advance on the Winged Moon. Gizmo informed Blaster he would not be able to reverse the effects and rouse any of the other Titans in time to intercept Vigilem. The Change In Your Nature Part Five Gizmo and the Titan Hub did their best to reconnect with the orbiting Titans, but were unable to bring the system back online. Any further efforts were cut short after the Decepticon uprising at the Senate. Gizmo and the rest of the staff were removed and supplanted by Megatron's loyalists. War World: Hunt
Notes
- It is unknown whether the first two instances of "Gizmo" being a named Autobot are of the same character. As the first was never seen, and both instances are from writer Simon Furman, it's likely—but not definitely proven—the latter instance is a reference to the first, despite the different continuities.
