The Last Knight film

HMS Alliance was a Transformer who came to Earth at some point and, with "her" fellow Autobots, fought alongside the Allied forces in World War II. She took the form of a British submarine and became an ally to the Order of the Witwiccans. She also knew of the presence of the Guardian Knights on Earth and the location of their ship, hidden beneath the ocean. However, during the war she was badly damaged to the point where she was rendered comatose and unable to transform. Her alternate mode was then put on display and converted to a museum for humans. At some point, the last descendant of Merlin, a human ally of the Knights, discovered her existence and left clues of it for his daughter, Viviane.

In the early 21st Century, when Earth was threatened by the arrival of Cybertron, Viviane discovered her father's clues and went to the Alliance with Cade Yeager and fellow Autobots Bumblebee and Cogman. Edmund Burton, the last member of the Witwiccans, then paid off the museum staff to close it off to all other humans. The damaged bot was soon reactivated by contact with Viviane, though was still unable to transform. She ferried the group to the ocean floor, while also being forced to ram a pursuing military sub and play host to a romantic dinner for her passengers. She took the group into the Knight's ship and docked while they went to look for Merlin's staff. After the Knights' ship became active again and rose to the surface, Viviane and Cogman returned to the safety of the sub, which retreated and wound up perched on the ship's hull as it lifted into the sky. Depth Charge? Is that you?
  • The real-life HMS Alliance is indeed on display at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, as shown in the film.
  • The Alliance Transformer is never seen transforming or giving any indication of being alive onscreen, with only TRF members mentioning it "jumping the dock". This article presumes that as a WWII-era vehicle of an Allied nation, she is an Autobot as Bumblebee and Hot Rod were.
  • The Alliance is referred to as "she" in film dialogue; while this is almost certainly just because naval vessels are traditionally referred to in the feminine in English, we're assuming that it means she's a female Transformer, since it's all we have to go on.
  • Concept art of her robot mode appears in Transformers: A Visual History, in which she is styled after a scuba-diver and bears a resemblance to Sea Spray. (In fact, due to the colors, she actually looks a bit more like Sea Spray's redeco Deep Dive.)
