Construction crews are cheaper when you only have to sign one paycheck.

The combined form of the Build Team (ビルドチーム Birudo Chīmu), Sixbuilder (シックスビルダー Sikkusubirudā) is the strongest of all the Micromaster combined robots. When it comes to pure physicality, none can beat him, though Sixwing and Sixtrain's super modes can give him a run for his money. Despite his colossal strength, Sixbuilder far prefers to live up to the second part of his name, and use his talents for construction rather than combat.

Micromaster

Mirror, mirror, on the site, who's the one that I must fight?

During a particularly pitched battle with between the Autobot Micromasters and the Decepticon Sixwing in Berserker Mode outside the Autobots' base, the storage capsules containing the Build Team in Cyberdroid form took a shock, activating them. A little while later, Micromasters resembling the Build Team were spotted wrecking human construction sites. The Build Team soon confronted them in Sixbuilder mode... only for the impostors to do the same! The green Decepticon Sixbuilder announced that the two teams were actually halves of the original whole, and that he would rejoin with Sixbuilder only after all the other Autobots had been destroyed. Sixbuilder the Ill-Fated Warrior!?

Operation Combination

Many years later, Sixbuilder and all other Micromaster Combiners scattered across the globe were summoned to Earth's orbit to join Guard City in a last line of defense against Battle Gaia and the Jet Corps, who had fought their way past the Road Corps. Sixbuilder went up against Dark Jet. The Decepticons' Attack on Earth!

Sixbuilder, Sixtrain, Sixwing, Sixturbo, and Guard City eventually combined to form the "Autobot Scrum Combination". Combining the power of all twenty-nine individual Autobots, their unleashed energy destroyed Battle Gaia on the spot. As the Jet Corps fled with the remains of Battle Gaia, Sixbuilder joined the other Autobots in gleefully waving goodbye. Conclusion

Later, alongside Flashwing, Deathplay, Darkfly, and Sharpedge, Scrash made another bid to conquer Earth. Sixbuilder and the new Autobot defenders of Earth fought off all five Decepticons and saved the day. Somehow. Kiss Players timeline

Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers

OC-toy Sixbuilder.jpg
  • Sixbuilder (Micromaster Six-Team, 1992)
  • ID number: TF-01
  • Accessories: Torso frame, legs, Sixbuilder head, left & right Sixbuilder gauntlets, left & right footplates, rifle
Released in the eighth and final year of the original Takara Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers line under the Operation Combination banner, Sixbuilder is the combination of six construction-themed Micromasters: Crush-Bull the bulldozer, Digger the excavator, Gran Arm the front-end loader, Iron Lift the crane, Mixing the cement mixer, and Treader the dump truck.
His component robots can be swapped around with the other similarly-built Six-Teams Sixturbo and Sixwing, and to some degree with Sixliner and Sixtrain. His combiner kibble can be assembled to make the "Beat Jet" vehicle (not named in this release) that can be piloted by a single Micromaster.
This mold set was also used to make Destron Sixbuilder and 2003 Universe series Micromaster combiner Devastator. It shares the torso frame, legs, footplates and rifle molds with Sixturbo and Sixwing.
He was only available as a complete boxed set. The original Six-Teams are considered among the more difficult Japanese Generation 1 pieces to find, due to their final-year release well after Transformers had faded from relevance in Japan, and thus command some hefty prices even with the molds' later re-releases.

In 2003, the entire Sixbuilder team was re-released as the fourth wave of The Transformers: Micromaster, in individual boxes with a number visible to show which mold was inside each box. Like Sixwing before him, his colors have been extensively changed, with all-new base plastic colors and new paint applications rather than stickers; the first two Teams in the series used the same plastic colors as their original releases, just with the sticker/paint changeover.
On top of this, two out of every twelve toys in a case of twelve were in mostly-green decos, as part of the Destron Sixbuilder chase figure, who might look familiar.
Sixbuilder could only be assembled by buying all six components individually; he was never offered as a complete set.

Merchandise

  • Velvet Art (1992)
Produced by Takara, this is a piece of black original line-art on velvet cardback to be colored with special markers. It appears to be based on the Sixbuilder boxart rather than the actual toy, as Treader is attached to the knee joint sideways; a mis-interpretation of the box-art Sixbuilder's stance.
