About us

An iconic country estate set beneath the beautiful Ochil Hills, The Gleneagles Hotel has been a luxury destination for nearly a century. Located just one hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports and with its own railway station, Gleneagles offers the perfect retreat for those looking for relaxation, fun and adventure. Three championship courses have established Gleneagles’ reputation as a golfer’s paradise but the hotel offers so much more than golf. The 850-acre estate epitomises the rugged natural beauty for which Scotland is famed and offers guests a glorious playground of country pursuits and activities. Whether you come to fly a Harris’ Hawk, ride horses, play tennis, go off-roading, train gundogs, shoot game, fish, enjoy Michelin-starred dining, or relax in an award-winning spa, Gleneagles offers a world of unforgettable experiences

  • We’re thrilled to have been named 'Best for Families' in the 2025 edition of Tatler Magazine's Travel Guide. Our team pours countless hours into making sure our little guests are treated to just as much – if not more – attention to detail as the grown-ups, so it's wonderful for their hard work to be recognised in such a special way. From kids’ own welcome packs and in-house childcare to the tailor-made breakfast buffet and everything in between, our family stays ensure rest and respite for the adults and endless entertainment for the wee ones. Thank you, Tatler, and thank you to our mini Glen adventurers for always keeping us young at heart!

  • The theme of this year’s International Men’s Day is ‘Men’s Health Champions’, which aims to illuminate men’s health problems and the people who are helping to deliver the solutions. Among these people are our three colleagues, Adrian, Mark and Billy, who are passionate advocates of the peer-to-peer support charity, #ANDYSMANCLUB, after attending the support groups themselves and eventually becoming facilitators. We filmed them chatting to Alex McClintock, Andy’s Man Club Head of Groups Scotland, about their own personal journeys with their mental health and the life-saving influence the charity has had on them. Through this film, they hope to help others. Suicide is the most common cause of death in men under the age of 50, and every single hour, 60 men around the world die by suicide. As we celebrate International Men’s Day today, these distressing statistics are a poignant reminder of why supporting men’s health and wellbeing is more important than it’s ever been. All men over the age of 18 are welcome to attend one of Andy’s Man Club’s 200 free support groups which run in locations across the country, including at Gleneagles, every Monday from 7.00-9.00pm (except English bank holidays). To find a group near you, visit www.andysmanclub.co.uk

  • We’re so proud to share that our wonderful People Team were crowned the HR Team of the Year at the 2024 HR Network National Awards last night! Led by our People & Culture Director, Emma Simpson (who also scooped the award for HR Director of the Year!) they’ve transformed what's it's like to work here at Gleneagles. Through the delivery of an ambitious people strategy, they’ve increased the confidence and capability of our leaders, listened and responded to the needs and expectations of our people, and introduced initiatives, services and products that demonstrate to our team that they're just as valued as our guests. Congratulations to Emma and her team! A huge thank you to the team at Hr NETWORK Magazine as well as the judges for all their support #hrna24

  • We’re proud to share that both Gleneagles and Gleneagles Townhouse have achieved Green Tourism gold accreditation in recognition of our approach to sustainability. Gleneagles was the first hotel in the UK to gain gold status back in 2008 when the certification was introduced, and now, over 15 years later, our two properties are the first UK hotels to achieve gold under the robust new Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Criteria, which serve as the benchmark for sustainability standards in the industry worldwide. Retaining our gold status is evidence of the journey of improvement we’ve been on and the work we’re continuing to do to play our part in tackling the global climate emergency. We’ve a long road ahead in achieving our sustainability targets, but this award encourages us to keep working hard as a team to establish new ways of minimising our impact and creating a positive difference for our team, guests, the local community and future generations.

We are also delighted to see Gleneagles Townhouse receive its first MICHELIN Key just two years into operation. #LoveGlen #TheGloriousPlayground

  • As young people around Scotland await their exam results today, we wanted to share our support in championing that there is #NoWrongPath to success. Our own team of talented people are testament to that! We’ve got colleagues in senior leadership who joined the workplace straight from school, completed apprenticeships or dropped out of university to pursue a different path; we’ve seen team members completely change their careers; step up the ladder, down the ladder, then up again to suit personal commitments; and we’ve seen hundreds of colleagues who’ve started as kitchen porters and become executive chefs; engineers who’ve become housekeepers; housekeepers who’ve become general managers; chefs who’ve become gardeners; teachers who’ve become marketers; beauticians who’ve become accountants; lawyers who now work in People & Culture, and everything in between. So, to all those nervously opening their results today (as well as their parents), we wish you all the best in achieving the grades you’re hoping for, but to those who feel disappointed or anxious, remember, the road to success is not a race and it’s not a straight track. There are so many different routes to a successful and fulfilling career! At Gleneagles, we offer a range of early career programmes to support young people and school leavers to progress and succeed. From work experience and internships, to scholarships and apprenticeships, our training and development programmes cover a breadth of disciplines, including hotel operations, food & beverage, culinary and greenkeeping. A great alternative to higher education for those who flourish in the more structured setting of the workplace, they’re the perfect opportunity to earn while you learn and build skills and confidence under the care of a supportive team. Not sure of your next steps? Reach out to our friendly Talent Attraction team for an informal chat about opportunities at Gleneagles at careers@gleneagles.com
