Global advisory firm
About us
Milltown Partners is a global advisory firm working with influential organisations and individuals on the communications and public policy challenges that define their reputations. Our clients are leaders in their field: groundbreaking technology companies and their founders; global businesses and their CEOs; prominent individuals and renowned institutions. Technology and innovation are at the heart of our business and problem-solving approach, and we root our strategies in data insights and research on the audiences that matter, messages that work, and communications channels that deliver. We work as one team to ensure our clients can draw on our collective experience. The advice of our teams in London, Brussels, Dublin, San Francisco and New York is informed by everyone from our accomplished analysts to the founding partners, including leaders who have joined us from respected advisory firms as well as senior positions at Google, WhatsApp, The Royal Household, Uber, the British Government, Airbnb, the Financial Times, Manchester United or the BBC. By combining our breadth of experience, deep sector-specific knowledge and a research-driven approach, we help our clients analyse and solve their most important communications challenges. We are an Employee Ownership Trust. The people that work here own the company and share in its success. We're fully independent and will remain so. That means we can continue to do what we've always done: take the long view, build a business aligned to our values, invest in our people and their development, and innovate to improve the quality of our advice.

AI Fringe is back for 2025! Organised by Milltown Partners in close collaboration with our partners and the wider UK AI ecosystem, the Fringe will be back on 11 and 12 February - around the AI Action Summit in Paris. We’re really looking forward to bringing together a diverse set of voices from across sectors and geographies to explore the themes and outcomes from the AI Action Summit and what they mean for policymakers, businesses and citizens. We’ll be back at the British Library Knowledge Centre, and this time we’ll also be running activities in Paris alongside our partners to get involved with the discussion on the ground.

Welcome to the team, Vincent Manancourt! We're so excited to have you on board 👋
As first revealed in POLITICO Morning Technology UK (where else?!), happy to share that I’ve joined Milltown Partners as an Associate Director! Leaving Politico and journalism wasn’t an easy decision, but I felt that though I was keen to stay in tech policy, I wanted to try something new. Milltown seemed the perfect next step, offering the chance to work with a real mix of leading tech players on some of their most interesting policy and communications challenges. I’d always been impressed when I came across them in the tech policy space, not least in the context of the "AI Fringe" series they organise. Plus, they’ve always seemed like a really nice, smart bunch. Am looking forward to pitching in and learning the ropes! Tech policy people, hit me up for coffee ☕

“The thing I’m proudest of at Milltown is the impact we’ve had with our clients, and the number of great jobs we’ve created. We're now an employee owned trust and I’m really proud of that”. We loved this conversation between our Co-Founder D-J Collins and the brilliant Dorothy Chou on her podcast Hidden Value. Listen through the link in comments to learn more about his vision for founding Milltown Partners, and why it’s important to challenge the status quo.

We always love collaborating with great partners on events, and this week we welcomed the brilliant Whataboutisms at our London office for an evening of networking and a panel discussion. Our own Isobel moderated while Ketki featured on the panel alongside Simon and Ella who shared their insights into how the media storytelling landscape is changing. Looking forward to more collaborations like this in the future!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended last night’s event where we explored the future of media with a thought-provoking panel on the death of newspapers, AI, and the evolving role of the press. Shoutout to our brilliant speakers Ketki Mahabaleshwarkar, Simon Thiel, Ella Thompson, and our moderator, Isobel Petersen for steering the conversation with such insightful perspectives. Their insights sparked great conversations long into the evening. We’re also incredibly grateful to Milltown Partners for hosting us in their stunning offices and to their superstar office manager, Drew Sampson, for making sure the evening ran seamlessly. To everyone who joined us, thank you for being part of #WAI. We hope you enjoyed the conversation, networking, and the chance to reflect on the ever-changing media landscape. Missed out or already looking forward to the next one? We’ll be back in the new year with another exciting event! Keep an eye on our socials for updates. Earlier this week, we hosted a small group of friends and colleagues at the gallery of world-renowned portrait artist Jonathan Yeo in London. Jonathan shared reflections from his fascinating career with our guests, including how he tells stories through his portraits, his views on the use of technology in art, and his recent experience painting King Charles III. Many thanks to Jonathan and team for sharing their time and beautiful space with us 🖌

🚀When we said we were back, we meant every word 🚀 After a successful first event, we’re thrilled to announce our next exciting discussion in partnership with Milltown Partners . Join us on November 20th, 2024, as we tackle a pressing question about the state of journalism today: Is the decline of print newspapers a bad thing, or is it just a natural evolution? 🤔 The Evening Standard recently transitioned from a daily print edition to a weekly one...it’s clear that change is in the air. Research from Press Gazette reveals that social media now captures 33% of Britons' news consumption—surpassing printed publications at just 15%! 📊 But what does this mean for the future of print media? Are we witnessing the end of an era, or is this a chance to innovate and adapt? Let’s explore together! 🔍 What to Expect on the Night: * Thought-Provoking Panel Discussions: Engage with industry leaders and peers as we dissect the future of journalism. * Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow communicators , journalists, and industry experts *All-round Satisfaction: thinking of food and drink plans? not too worry, this night will leave you with a tummy full of thoughts and refreshments Tickets to this event are now up on eventbrite 👉 https://lnkd.in/gezjwBUa
