Summary

Description
English: Bionic eyes are sometimes used to help the visually impaired. The diagram illustrates how the process works. Initially, the patient receives an implant in their retina. Glasses worn have miniature cameras in the lens, which then send signals to the implanted chip located in the retina. Then, the chip converts these signals into electrical impulses that can then be sent to the optic nerve and processed as an image in the brain.
