Separating Oppo Devices from the main page

[edit]

Suggestion to remove the list of devices from 'Oppo Electronics' main page and create dedicated pages for each device, reason for this is Oppo continues to produce more devices and the current format, listing future devices will become too cluttered. Many thanks, User:ZhenWan, User talk:ZhenWan 15:54, 16 July 2015(UTC)

Hello, FYI, As of now, We are still planning to separate them. Thanks. 13 June 2018

Candidate for Deletion?

[edit]

This article (which I did create, some time ago) seems to meet the criteria for notability. At the bottom of the page, there are links to several independent articles mentioning Oppo products, which, I believe, qualify as secondary sources. In other words, Keep. Raider Duck (talk) 02:00, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Despite the article having issues, I have declined the speedy deletion. I would suggest that if editors feel it should be deleted to raise it at Wikipedia: Articles for Deletion in order for consensus to be reached. Many thanks, Gazimoff 12:12, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is Oppo chinese? (yes!)

[edit]

What is the relation between http://www.oppodigital.com, http://www.opposhop.com and http://www.oppo.com? They all sell the oppo brand, but www.oppo.com is in Chinese. Is the company chinese, actually? —Preceding unsigned comment added by HelgeStenstrom (talkcontribs) 09:17, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OPPO Digital Inc. was founded in California in 2004. I think, it is an American Company. Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.246.205.67 (talk) 19:12, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

From a mail from OPPO Digital, Inc:

[edit]

OPPO Digital Inc and OPPO.SE (Europe), OPPO Korea, and OPPO.COM (China) are the same brand, but completely different divisions. OPPO Digital Inc designs and manufacturers its own products to facilitate our regional needs.

Because each division is separate, firmware and hardware differences will exist.

Shouldn't OPPO Digital, Inc and OPPO Electronics be two separate entries?

[edit]

As it is, OPPO Digital, Inc is being redirected to OPPO Electronics. OPPO Digital, Inc and OPPO Electronics share the same branding, but are not the same company. OPPO Digital searches should not be redirected to OPPO Electronics as OPPO Digital is not a subsidiary or OPPO Electronics nor is it the same company. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LostToys (talkcontribs) 20:33, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is OnePlus a subsidiary of Oppo?

[edit]

As stated here, OnePlus denies being a spinoff of Oppo Electronics with the message 'We understand the confusion as many people are just finding out about OnePlus. But as we’ve said from the beginning, OnePlus is a separately run company that does share common investors with OPPO. One of those investors is OPPO Electronic. OPPO Electronic is an investment company and is not the same as OPPO Mobile. OnePlus is also in talks with other investors.'[1] So should OnePlus be listed as a subsidiary of OPPO on this page? --DropTheSlurpy (talk) 11:02, 6 May 2014 (UTC)DropTheSlurpy[reply]

Yep. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of OPPO Electronics, just like OPPO Mobile.

Proposed merge with OPPO Mobile

This division is already covered in the main article. Any unique content can be combined with the existing content. - MrX 11:47, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

should new released smartphones should be added on the table?

[edit]

Suggesting to add new released smartphones to the table. Please make sure to put references on the content that you want to add. Thanks ResourcesFromWeb (talk) 15:06, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure about you, but this is what I think.
  • Move all products from this article to a new article "Products of Oppo"
  • In the new article, separate the phones described in prose by series under subheadings.
  • Keep the table for legacy
  • Continue new additions in prose there
My reasoning for this is:
  • The table is not a good system, as it is already too cluttered
  • If we keep adding phones under new sections it will become too long

Ok, I will start creating the page ResourcesFromWeb (talk) 05:00, 14 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@ResourcesFromWeb: Thanks, do you think we should only have the mobile phones in the new article or everything? Araratic | talk 07:41, 14 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Just the mobile phones ResourcesFromWeb (talk) 09:26, 14 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
