Boldface needs to be explained in the Contestants section
[edit]There should be an explanation of what the boldface means when listing each contestant's categories. Is it their originally assigned category? Also, why do some have two categories listed but their number of duels is still listed as one? It's confusing and it makes me doubt the article's accuracy. 97.114.7.150 (talk) 23:43, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
- The reason why is because if they dueled in an area not their's then they "inhert" That catrogries so they competed in 1 duel but that duel was their own catorgries and they won meaning they got their opponites topic. 147.133.116.12 (talk) 01:59, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
why are non-participating contestants categories not boldfaced?
[edit]In the “Contestants” section of this article the original skill of the contestant is emboldened for every contestant who has participated. However the contestants who have not yet participated have their skills non-boldened. Why is that? It doesn’t matter.. at all but I MADE this Wikipedia account to MAKE SURE this article is 100% logical. Thefloorfanperson (talk) 00:38, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
Contestant Descriptions
[edit]Should the "Contestants" table list each duel in which a contestant participated, each answer in each contestant's category, both, or neither? Wodum (talk) 18:15, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- I am a contestant on The Floor's first season and a novice Wikipedia editor who's attempted to contribute to this article as much as I can. I am curious whether or not other users believe the Contestants table has become too detailed. I believe most of the information is notable and should remain, but I'm concerned the "Duels" column (which I added) and "Answers in Their Category" column (which a different user added) may make the table too large and impractical. Thoughts? Wodum (talk) 18:18, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- Two things I'm gonna ask here:
1. For the record, which contestant are you, and what category did you have?
2. I think you're supposed to announce your conflict of interest somewhere...
TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 21:17, 2 March 2024 (UTC)- Thank you for pointing out the Conflict of Interest criteria and linking the guidelines— looks like I should have added a tag in the description of my edits.
- For the record, I am Will, and I represented the category of Sports Equipment. I was eliminated late in Episode 4 and only played 1 duel. I volunteered to collect a list of duels that occurred in every episode after my elimination, and I used this list verified by the other contestants to update to the "Contestants" and "Episodes" sections after episodes aired.
- TWOrantula— do you know if it is possible for me to retroactively add my COI tag to my previous edits? Wodum (talk) 21:27, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- You could try making a dummy edit and place a message in the edit summary. If you need some more help, you can try asking The Teahouse for any advice. TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 21:35, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- Two things I'm gonna ask here:
- Oh, regarding the Contestants table: I think the answer in each contestant's category isn't really that important. From the way I see it, most people could just get their streaming service and rewatch an episode of The Floor. TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 02:36, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
With new seasons, what will we do with the contestants section?
[edit]I was VERY impressed with the contestants section on this article and how it gave very detailed information. But now with 2 new upcoming seasons, what will we do to this section? I wouldn’t want to erase all of the effort but we need to think of something. Thefloorfanperson (talk) 18:59, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
