Hey, I'm User:Bobby Cohn. If you need to get in touch with me, my preferred method of contact is on my talk page. If you came here for an inquiry about a specific article, I invite you to start a discussion on that article's talk page, and invite me to discuss on my talk page.

I try and keep an eye on my watchlist but there's a lot in there. If you're waiting for a response from me on a project page and I've been active elsewhere on Wikipedia, consider leaving a message on my talk page politely reminding me and point to the discussion. Worst case scenario, I'll drop you a {{Read}} reply.

About me

[edit]

I enjoy editing pages on a broad range of microbiology topics, contributing to topics that interest me while I'm Wiki-crastinating, and participating in discussions on talk pages about current events or topics in the news. I'm quite fond of the knowledge I come across while editing Wikipedia. "[I]s there any task you can't make longer by stopping to smell the trivia?"[1] I've also been seen patrolling the recent changes page for unnecessary but good faith edits or vandalism from IP address. I also like adding infoboxes to pages hot-off-the-presses from Articles for creation and New pages patrol. In the future, I'd love to begin adding high quality photos to the Commons.

I think biting the newbies is one of the worst things we can do as a project; we should assist future long-term editors for the benefit of the project. I'm a big believer in the assume good faith policy. I also think that vandals are obviously not here to improve the project and should be smitten [wikt] down on sight.

Ongoing work

[edit]

Editing can be a tireless and thankless job. Sometimes I'll edit for the fun of it. Sometimes I'll really put my mind to a topic, and want to see an article flourish. If I list an article here, it's most likely because I'd like to come back to it and continue to improve it.

Previous articles

[edit]

I've previously written articles on a variety of topics. I have written some articles from scratch and I have greatly improved and expanded others from a previous state. I also take pride in guiding new editors that have created their first Articles for Creation draft and adapting their work and preparing it for the mainspace, if I think the work shows promise or the subject is particularly notable. I've done that in a few instances shown here.

[edit]

I look for these regularly. It's helpful for me to have a quick link here when guiding new editors to them. If you also find them useful, then that's awesome.
