New Gems from the Archive

We look back on the indelible moments, events and milestones brought to life through our Archive this year. Nearly half a million newly discovered photos and videos were added to our library as an ongoing commitment to bringing new visual and cultural histories to light. Some of these highlights include Malcolm X speaking ahead of a school boycott in 1964, Diana Ross at Studio 54 in 1978, nuclear testing of the Atomic Bomb in Nevada in 1955, The Beatles rehearsing for an episode of "Ready Steady Go!" in 1964, and much more.
