About us
The Elton John AIDS Foundation was established in 1992 and is one of the leading independent AIDS organisations in the world. The Foundation’s mission is simple: an AIDS free future. We are committed to no more discrimination. No more HIV infections. No more AIDS death. No matter who or where you are. The Foundation works at all levels to influence change. With the mobilization of our network of generous supporters and partners, we fund local experts in 23 countries to spread awareness, prevent infections and provide care and treatment for the most marginalised groups. We harness local knowledge and innovation and motivate governments to end AIDS. We will not stop until there is an AIDS free future.

Corazón is one of over 100 organizations the Elton John AIDS Foundation has supported in 2024 to deliver life-saving HIV services and care to the people that need it most. Jesus, 58, is one of Corazón’s clients who transformed his life through the compassionate support he found here. Having started using drugs at just eight years old and later serving a 12-year prison sentence, Jesus was determined to turn his life around and build a better future and legacy for himself and his family. 👉 Swipe to learn more about Jesus’ transformative journey. The U.S. aims to end new HIV transmissions by 2030, but many people still face barriers to accessing HIV prevention and treatment due to limited resources and healthcare options. These barriers will only be amplified if the U.S. Congress cuts funding to life-saving HIV programs, that currently support more than 500,000 Americans living with HIV, and targeted HIV prevention efforts in the most highly affected parts of the country. U.S. government HIV programs are under threat with proposed funding cuts of over $700 million. Take action now—tell your representatives to #SaveHIVFunding and protect people living with and affected by HIV in the U.S. 👉 bit.ly/savehivfunding2025

Today, on what would have been Ryan White’s 53rd birthday, we honor the incredible legacy of a young man whose grace, courage, and determination changed the world. Diagnosed with HIV at a time when misinformation and fear ran rampant, Ryan faced unthinkable challenges—including rejection and stigma from his peers and community. Yet, he chose to confront these obstacles with a bravery far beyond his years. Ryan fearlessly used his voice to advocate for people impacted by HIV and AIDS, educating millions and confronting stigma head-on. His powerful story profoundly moved Elton John, sparking not only a deep friendship but the founding of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. In his memory, the Ryan White CARE Act—enacted in 1990—continues to provide vital medication and quality care to over half a million people living with HIV in the United States every year, regardless of their income level. This act stands as a testament to Ryan’s lasting impact and the change one voice can create. Ryan’s legacy is a reminder of the power of compassion and the urgent need to create a future where everyone can live free from stigma and discrimination 🤍Learn more about Ryan White: https://lnkd.in/eaMpWYH3
