When you have a strategic deal in flight, the best source of intel is from your partners who already have your prospect as a customer. Crossbeam can help you find those connections and start gathering critical intel. Let’s say, you're actively pursuing a sale with Surfzer, and you’re experiencing some hurdles in the sales process. Here’s when you hope you can get additional intel from your partner that will accelerate the deal and increase the ACV. 1. Navigate to the Reports tab. 2. Create a new report, if you don't already have one, that identifies overlaps between your prospects and your desired partners' customers. Note that if you are not on a paid plan, you can only run this report for one partner at a time. 3. Review the report results. Is your target prospect on the list? If so, which partners are they customers of? 4. You see that your prospect is a customer of your partner (and you have a great relationship with them), so you contact your rep there to gather information like: - How does that prospect buy software? - What was the procurement process like? - and how did you approach pricing negotiations? TIP: Share back any information about your customers that are your partner’s prospects that can help them speed up their deals too. 5. Share the new intel with your team, so they can keep the deal moving, adjust their sales forecasting, and prepare for any unforeseen “gotchas” that might derail the deal.
