SDRs, It’s Crunch Time! 🕒 As the holidays approach, schedules get tighter, and prospects get busier. But this time of year is prime time to stand out, make connections, and secure meetings. Every minute counts, and how you use the next two weeks can set the tone for a strong start to 2025. Here are 3 #TacticalTips to maximize your impact and ensure your efforts stick: 1️⃣ Double Confirm All Meetings Prospects are juggling a lot—make it easy for them to remember you. Send a personalized confirmation email 24-48 hours in advance that reaffirms the value of your conversation. Best practice = If the meeting is before noon the following day, send the reminder the night before. If the meeting is after noon the following day, send the invite the morning of. + Follow up with a quick same-day reminder via LinkedIn or text for an extra touch (you should always be asking if you can text a day-of reminder when scheduling the call initially). 2️⃣ Hyper-Personalized Messaging This is not the time for cookie-cutter messages. Reference year-end goals, challenges, or recent LinkedIn activity to show you’ve done your homework. Bonus tip: Use a quick video or voice message—it’s a great way to stand out in a crowded inbox. 3️⃣ Focus on Quick Wins Prioritize warm leads and engaged prospects who’ve shown interest recently (e.g., opened emails, visited your site). Keep the focus on short, impactful calls to keep momentum going. And don’t shy away from using a little urgency—“Let’s connect before the holidays to set you up for success in 2025!” The end of the year is a huge opportunity. If you’re intentional with your time and creative with your approach, you can secure wins now that will pay off in January. Our growth team did a lil science experiment and analyzed 51,219 demo requests via Default over the last few months... Here's what we learned ~ 1. 38,751 (75.6%) of qualified demo requests turned into pipeline 2. Only 4.8% of demo requests have UTMs appended. 3. The top 3 UTM sources resulting in an inbound demo being booked are: paid search (38.7%), email (17.4%), and partners (15.9%). Finishing the week with another great example you can learn about enterprise sales. This time I am sharing the approach from the great folks at ZoomInfo. Henry Schuck and the great team he has assembled have taken an idea he had 17 years ago and turned it into a Billion dollar company. You can't reach these heights without a great team, a great product, and really knowing what Enterprise sales is all about (it's not a 90 day 3 step process). Without a great account executive like Michael Nayebi and the extremely high level of data quality, handy Chrome connection and other great features of ZoomInfo, I would never have been able to build up a staggering $350M API SaaS funnel in my last core banking role selling to C-level leaders at the biggest banks in the USA. Early in my career, I made mistakes that I urge all AEs, SDRs, and Sales Professionals to avoid. Building relationships is essential to close deals and achieve top-tier sales performance. However, The end goal is NOT the relationship, it is the DEAL. Many salespeople fall into the trap of being great at making friends but fail to move deals forward and end up with nothing. Will you make friends along the way? Of course. Should you make friends? Absolutely. You just need to remember that the outcome you are seeking is not the relationship. It's the DEAL. The Champions & POCs who backed me in deals are now some of my great friends and even mentors. We literally hang out with each other whenever they are in Bengaluru or I'm in their city. If I had not closed those deals, I wouldn't have had either a champion, a friend, or the deal itself. Success is what builds true connections.
