𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 (AMP) was launched on 6th December 2007 by a group of young professionals committed to making a meaningful difference to the Community and Society.
It's been 17 long years since, and AMP has steadfastly worked on its sole agenda of 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, in the process impacting the lives of Lakhs of Citizens and helping in Nation Building!
On this special day, we reaffirm our dedication to serving the Nation and the Community with renewed vigor and passion!

Insight and solutions that shift the dial 🌟
Last month we got together with new elected members and our partners in the House of Commons to launch the first report of our "Commission into Breaking Down Barriers to Employment" with The Purpose Coalition.
We heard from our front line about experiences in vulnerable households and what's working to tackle poverty, especially child poverty, through better employability provision.
In the UK, employability is such a critical piece of the puzzle, yet current strategies often fall into the same patterns as before. While it’s great to see this issue on the political agenda, we need to focus on what actually works to address the root causes, not just the symptoms.
At the Wise Group, we’ve always championed a more holistic approach, one that doesn’t just stop at financial aid but looks at the full spectrum of support that individuals and families need to move out of poverty. From what we’ve seen on the ground, initiatives like Relational Mentoring can lead to real, measurable outcomes. The key is making sure that resources are used smarter, not just increased, and that we cut through the red tape to focus on real impact.
A huge thank you to Rt Hon. Justine Greening, Lord Walney, all the elected representatives and partners who joined us and contributed to this vital conversation. The way forward isn’t about spending more - it’s about using what we have in ways that really make a difference. Lots more to do! Whitaker Peace and Development Initiative.
Today, WPDI stands united with voices from three continents, joining our CEO and founder Forest Whitaker in raising awareness on the 5th International Day to Protect Education from Attack. 🌏📚Education is a fundamental right and a powerful pathway to fight against poverty, achieve sustainable development, and build lasting peace. With a 20% rise in attacks and a violation every 3 hours, the human cost of war is immense. Standing with our partner Education Above All Foundation (EAA), help us #RiseUp to #UniteToProtect. This is more than just a hashtag; it’s a global rallying cry. We stand at a pivotal moment, and the choice is ours to make. Together, we can safeguard education for future generations and turn the impossible into reality.🕊️

Embracing the #ParetoPrinciple in our ministry efforts helps us to be more effective stewards of our time and resources, ultimately enabling us to serve our community more powerfully.
This can be done by identifying which ministries and efforts nurture and empower the congregation the most without neglecting others.

We need to understand the challenges faced by farmers today as the War destroys the country,
and we have to be dedicated to help them to overcome these obstacles.
One of the most effective tools to rebuild the agricultural sector is the cooperative community.
A cooperative community after a war often emerges as a response to the collective need for rebuilding and survival.
Examples of such communities seen after World War II in Europe, where devastated cities implemented collective rebuilding programs.
And more recent examples like post-conflict societies in places like Rwanda, where cooperative systems helped in the healing process.
Resilience enables one to emerge stronger from adversity.🙌🏾
We recently concluded the Young@HAART resilience toolkit training that will impact them positively as they create awareness in the fight against #HumanTrafficking in grassroots communities. ✊🏾

Human dignity requires co-creation. When reflecting on the Porticus priorities for the remainder of the year, two ideas emerge.
We need to enable more collaborative funding to magnify our capacity to address social, environmental and economic challenges and, at the same time, elevate participatory philanthropy through the meaningful participation of our partners and of the people with lived experience throughout our grant-making cycle.
