Productive day at Singapore FinTech Festival today with an interview with Asian Banking & Finance and a fantastic panel session on "Envisioning the future of financial services in the era of AI" at the Technology Stage this evening. We tackled the big questions: Where to implement AI for maximum impact and how to measure its true value. My view? While direct revenue is great, look beyond that for AI's payback. Think productivity, efficiency, and employee empowerment. For example, AI can supercharge wealth managers, giving them more time to build deeper relationships and provide exceptional service. But it's crucial to consider the value and impact on customers too – AI should benefit them directly and most importantly, any AI implementation must be done with strong governance – honestly, thoughtfully, and carefully.
