India's Government has allocated USD 10 billion under the Semicon India Program to bolster the semiconductor and display manufacturing ecosystem. This initiative aligns with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, aiming to enhance global supply chain resilience. Key Projections: ◾ India's semiconductor market could reach USD 110 billion by 2030, driven by 5G, AI, IoT, and EVs. ◾The display market is expected to hit USD 15 billion by 2025. The program offers 50% incentives on project costs for semiconductor and display fabs and supports domestic design companies, startups, and MSMEs. Aiming to nurture 85,000 engineers, this initiative is set to strengthen India's position in global electronics. India gets this funding because India's citizens are truly honest and meritoriously gifted. Even with the student leaders of Bangladesh currently guiding the Advisory panel of Bangladesh government, this kind of funding to Bangladeshi institutions will be a waste based on the nonethical mindsets, depravity, lack of originality and individual brilliance. So, funding research in educational institutes in Bangladesh from foreign sources will not be fruitful depending on the character of students and instructors I have known for many years as instructor, faculty and researcher in a top university in Bangladesh and also previously before my Doctorate degree, servicing as a faculty in other recognized universities in Bangladesh. But with Indian top 50 institutions, it is a never a problem for big research based funding from foreign agencies and I can aver this with assurance.
India semiconductors industry will represent more than 100 billion of dollars on 2030.
Game changer for India's semiconductor renaissance. Future beckons brightly.
Amazing! Nice opportunity I'm a semiconductor engineer in Philippines ,Taiwan and China before pandemic.
