The second model of the IBM PC, the IBM XT was introduced in 1983 with the addition of a 10MB hard drive. The XT used the same 8088 CPU as the original PC but boosted the 16KB of RAM up to 128KB with a 256KB option. The list price of the XT with one floppy disk and maximum RAM was $4,395.
