Motivation
[edit]The OHDSI (Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics) initiative is an important non-profit organization that coordinates standards for medical observational data annotation. They have a core vocabulary (https://athena.ohdsi.org/search-terms/start), parsing terms from different sources and curating others themselves. It is a serious, important resource, and adds value to Wikidata entries in terms of connectivity and verifiability. TiagoLubiana (talk) 13:36, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Comment This seems useful, but @TiagoLubiana: where would the first nine "Standard to Non-standard map (OMOP)" values in your malaria example be placed on Wikidata (and similarly for the first such non-standard map in your Argentina example)? Mahir256 (talk) 18:00, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
- This is a good comment. OHDSI is slightly weird in that they do not merge synonyms, but instead create an entry for each vocabulary they import. I think two ways are possible: setting this to only use Standard concepts in OHDSI or include all variations if they are semantically equivalent. Some "non-standard" terms are still useful, like https://athena.ohdsi.org/search-terms/terms/45513046, for "Monkey Malaria". What do you think, @Mahir256:? – The preceding unsigned comment was added by TiagoLubiana (talk • contribs) at 14:05, 15 February 2024 (UTC).
- @Mahir256:, pining for attention. Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 13:54, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
- @TiagoLubiana: If every non-standard concept is mapped to a standard concept, then only using standard concepts would be better, but I don't mind either way. Regardless, Support Mahir256 (talk) 19:02, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
