Nick Taylor, Senior Research Associate at JET is at the UNESCO Global Alliance on the Science of Learning for Education taking place 2-3 December 2024 at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France. Presenting on the Sesotho and isiZulu Reading Project (SIRP).
Nick Taylor kicked off Day 2 of the UNESCO Alliance on the Science of Learning meeting by presenting the Sesotho and isiZulu Reading Project here at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The project seeks to improve the home language reading instruction given to pre-service teachers. Critical to the success of this initial teacher education intervention is the co-design of modules with lecturers, and a lot of dedicated persistence!
