Allow parents to send voice replies to Ace LTE

Parents should be able to reply to their child with a voice recording.

This would be a huge added basic feature. As this is being targeted to kids, this would help cater to those who aren't readers or strong readers. This would be a benefit for kids and accessibility

Ditto to Jason, not only would this function be helpful but would add to the safety features of the watch. To quickly be able to communicate something important both ways is a peace of mind this mom needs! If I had known it wasn't an option, I would have chosen another tool for tracking/communicating with my kiddos.

I was very disappointed to learn that this was not a feature. Please add this function.

Children being able to receive voice texts is necessary for so many reasons, especially for some neurodivergent littles. I really hope the feature becomes available soon!

I'm very surprised it doesn't allow parents to reply with voice messages. I think it's really silly to not have added it as it should already be a feature doesn't makes sense that you're kids can send voice messages but parents can't? My kid doesn't fully know how to write yet or read yet he is still learning so its hard to communicate specially when he doesn't get very good signal when I call or he calls me it cuts out and we end up not being able to hear each other. Being able to send back a voice message will make it easier and very useful for us to be able to communicate better. I had high hopes for this but the calls cutting out at times and specially not being able to send back a voice message which should have already been included made me feel like I should have just gotten him an apple watch instead would have made things. If they at the very least add this feature I feel like im going to have to end up switching to a different watch for my kid. There's times we cant make calls to each other and he leaves me a voice message and I can't reply because I cant send a voice message back and i cant reply with a long sentence or more than a couple words because he wont be able to read everything i send

This is absolutely necessary.  How soon this feature can be added?

Big disappointed that parents can't voice message. I didn't know parents couldn't voice message till I tired to reply my kid message.

Hopefully they add this feature on a future update. My daughter is special needs and has problems reading my messages.

Agreeing to bump this thread. Many children process in different ways and auditory learning is common and calming for kids. Being able to add tone, inflection, etc to words that can’t be relayed via plain text would be quite the added benefit.

This is a needed feature. My dyslexia daughter loves that she can send a voice clip to me and not try to type everything out. I have to keep my responses VERY short so she can read them and would love to send her an audio clip response!

My child is learning how to read so only having the ability to write messages to him is not comforting as a parent.  Please add the ability to send voice messages to the watch.

We're happy to share that this feature is starting to roll out over the next few days. You'll be able to respond with voice messages as well as download your child's voice messages. Look out for the microphone icon near the message compose box on your Ace app 🙂.
