Jetfire dreamed of becoming a scientist, but functionism bred stereotypes about his flying alternate mode, limiting his options. Jetfire became a Decepticon because of their views on freedom of work, but rejected the movement as it became radicalized and more violent. The support of Autobots like Orion Pax, Prowl, and Ratchet got Jetfire work as a forensic scientist, and he got to pursue his dreams. From perfecting the polydermal grafting technology to creating his faithful drone assistant D.0.C., Jetfire remained one of the Autobots' greatest scientific minds throughout the war and beyond. Even millions of years later, he could still get huffy when people were presumptuous about his alt-mode, and Jetfire remains determined to hold on as a scientist, not a pilot or warrior.

Joining the Autobots
Before the war, Jetfire would conduct experiments in Cybertron's Science Satellites. Iron in the Blood His interest in a scientific career was hindered by the functionism of the day, as his airborne alt-mode was better suited for the defense or transportation sectors, and the troubles he faced caused him to fall in with the anti-functionist Decepticon movement. To Walk Among the Chosen He became acquaintances with Soundwave, who told him about Iacon's resident "hero cop," Orion Pax, who was also an Autobot. Behind My Bleeding Back One day after his teacher Ratchet got him a job at the technoversity of Ultirex, he spotted Pax himself, and attacked him. Pax knocked him out and revealed his secret allegiance to Ratchet. To Walk Among the Chosen
Pax subsequently brought Jetfire to fellow officer Prowl, whom Pax had worked with in the past and wanted help from in figuring out why Jetfire had tried to kill him and what he knew about the death of Decepticon sympathizer Hefter. Jetfire was less than willing to cooperate with another Autobot officer, especially one who had worked for Sentinel Prime, and believed that he and Pax were just looking to kill him in police custody as had happened to Hefter. During a bit of a rough interrogation, Prowl managed to convince the scientist that was one of the last things they wanted to do, and that they just wanted proof to bring Hefter's killers to justice. Jetfire admitted that he tried to kill Pax because of his anger at how he had continued to be a cop even after standing up to the Senate, not under any orders, and that he had learned all about him from Soundwave. A Lonely Pillar on the Plain Jetfire then took Pax and Prowl to the bolthole where Soundwave and his friends were hiding out, the pair also wanting to question him about Hefter's death. Jetfire found Pax's condemning the Decepticons for using violence as a tool to be contemptible, claiming that he was turning a blind eye to the Autobots' own faults by doing so; before Jetfire could continue, he was quieted down by Prowl. Behind My Bleeding Back As Needlenose and Horri-Bull watched, a newly released Jetfire gave Prowl a parting punch. Being offered a gun by the pair, Jetfire turned the gun over to Prowl and Pax, not believing real Decepticons to desire weaponry. Hoping to clear Hefter's name, he led the cops to the next shipment. Dance Among the Shadows
The two tried to assure him that he would be a hero and no one would be harmed, though Jetfire only wished to be a scientist. Needlenose shocked Jetfire with the revelation that the weapons had come straight from Decepticon high command, unintentionally angering Orion Pax as he observed the transaction. Future Glories Lost Pax burst in, barely giving the weapons dealers a chance to surrender before killing the first to pull a gun. A conflicted Jetfire killed a second Decepticon who was taking a shot at Pax, before any further response was interrupted by the remote detonation of the weapons. A Decepticon no more, Jetfire asked Pax what was next. Unhappy with the answer, Jetfire did not believe everything the Decepticons stood for should be destroyed. New Cybertron End: Feel Safe Without Regrets
Jetfire became a lab technician working for the police's science division, and Nosecone was immediately hostile on account of everything from his past allegiance to his alt-mode, which he considered 'unsuitable' for scientific work. After passing on to Nosecone the same gun that he had used to kill the Decepticon from the other day, Prowl having claimed that it was important evidence in finding Hefter's killer, Jetfire left the lab. Expecting a friendly face in Deluge, he and the weapon dealers paid him back for his betrayal. Their beating was interrupted by a shining light, scaring them off. Bumblebee attempted to offer him help, but was rejected by Jetfire. Returning to work the next day bruised, Nosecone mocked him for his 'hot-shot police work'. Changing the subject to the weapon he had used against the dealers, Nosecone told him there was nothing for it to reveal and revealing Prowl's deception. The Next Day, and the Next
On the sixth day of his new job, Jetfire snapped at Nosecone's lack of cooperation, storming out of the building and bringing a smile to the cop's face. While flying over the city, he was pursued by Orion, who brought him back to the surface but was unable to understand Jetfire, and that he wanted to be a flier and a scientist, rather than the choice of one. That both sides inspired violence. Jetfire confronted Deluge and as he decides to go back to his job, the two start to talk over a drink. What It's Really Like
When Bumblebee turned himself in to the police station, believing to be losing his mind, Prowl had Jetfire ran a scan of him. He detected and tracked a 'nightmare' signal transmitted by Soundwave, Ferak, and Shockwave that had been the cause of the bot's distress. Ghost Stories
Jetfire continued working at the technoversity and was there when Orion Pax became Optimus Prime and broadcast a call to arms against the Decepticon forces in power. He responded with many civilian Autobots and fought in the following battle for control of Cybertron. Broadcast After Optimus became leader of Cybertron, he sent Jetfire and his science team—Wheeljack, Perceptor, and Ratchet—to the crater of the destroyed Toraxxis mega-refinery to search for any trace of fuel. Fallout
Descending to the caverns opened up by the facility's destruction, the four scientists stumbled upon ancient cave carvings depicting a giant monster as well as a lake of seemingly self-replicating energon that temporarily turned Ratchet into a mindless beast. Before they could study this side effect, the team was attacked by deadly creatures residing in the tunnels and retreated to another cavern, where they found the very monster depicted in the carvings. Underworld Jetfire reported these findings to Optimus Prime, who ordered him to find a way to neutralize the sleeping monster so that the Autobots could safely make use of the energon lake. Prey However, the area was then attacked by Scorponok's Decepticons, who chased off Jetfire's scientists and awakened the beast, known as Trypticon. The Illusion of Control After Trypticon had been defeated, Jetfire was put in charge of curing the Dynobots, who had adapted altmodes that made them hyper-aggressive. Belly of the Beast During the Decepticons' attack on Iacon soon after, Jetfire and Perceptor contacted Optimus to inform him of the city's primary coolant plants being compromised, which would result in flooding. Primacy #3
Alongside Bumblebee and Nightbeat, Jetfire was ordered to follow the Decepticon starship Empirion and find out what its crew was up to. As they waited and watched, the Decepticons began attacking an Urtuskian settlement, causing Bumblebee to order the others to ram their shuttle into the Empirion and protect the aliens. Jetfire wasn't too enthusiastic about facing down an enemy that clearly outnumbered them, but in the end the Decepticons didn't find their main objective and retreated. The Hunting Party
At some point during the war, Jetfire advised against sending the small Autobot Wheelie on his own on an exploration mission. He was overruled by Ultra Magnus, who explained that they had to make due, because of their limited resources. Spotlight: Wheelie
Years of war had put the Transformers' home world of Cybertron through too much punishment, meaning a spiral into planet-wide cataclysm, a consequence the scientist Thunderwing had foreseen. Jetfire and other Transformers scientists ignored his warning, until it was too late. Thunderwing underwent the polydermal grafting process he had developed, and was driven insane, forcing the Autobots and Decepticons to unite and try to stop him. Jetfire spent the battle trying to figure out a way to effectively counter Thunderwing, but Cybertron itself swallowed Thunderwing before he could find a way. Cybertron was abandoned as a result.
Modern era
Seven hundred stellar cycles later, and against regulations, Jetfire and the Technobots traveled to the supposedly-abandoned husk of Cybertron from their science vessel, the Calabi-Yau, to investigate a strange energy reading. Though it violated several command directives, Jetfire decided to lead a recon mission to the surface. Despite the misgivings everyone had, Jetfire remained adamant that they investigate, saying that a failure to investigate was what doomed Cybertron to begin with. Upon arriving on the dead surface of the planet near Thunderhead Pass, Jetfire, Scattershot, Afterburner, and Lightspeed were ambushed by a mysterious group of robots with stealth abilities. The Technobots were badly damaged and Jetfire was captured. When he revived, he found his captors worshiping the reanimated corpse of Thunderwing. Stormbringer #1
Their leader, Bludgeon, wished to revisit the mad scientist's plot and harness the power that accelerated the planet's death in an apocalyptic torrent all those years ago. Jetfire pleaded with Bludgeon not to again unleash the powers that destroyed their planet, but he was ignored, and his attempts to escape were thwarted. Stormbringer #2 Thanks to a distress signal sent by the remaining Technobots in the Calabi-Yau, Optimus Prime and the Wreckers soon arrived, released Jetfire, and defeated his captors, just before an alert system announced the arrival of Thunderwing, newly reborn. Stormbringer #3 Fortunately Jetfire was able to figure out that the Ultra-Energon powering Thunderwing would be depleted in a prolonged struggle. This allowed Optimus Prime, the Wreckers, and the Predacons to stop the monstrosity without destroying Cybertron. Stormbringer #4
Jetfire was later called in to take the Monstructor Six to the Garrus-9 prison and attempt to cure them. Escalation #1 Spotlight: Optimus Prime Every previous attempt had failed, but whether he may have found a cure to their combined minds was then rendered moot when the Decepticons attacked and abducted the Monsters. He convinced Fortress Maximus to let Arcee "escape" to hunt the Monsters down, and they would invent some story afterward. Spotlight: Arcee
Shortly after Optimus Prime arrived on Garrus-9, Cyclonus activated the Nega-Core and its guardian, Thunderwing, on Corata-Vaz. Prime ordered Jetfire to summon the Wreckers to face off against Thunderwing again. Spotlight: Cyclonus Unfortunately the Wreckers proved to be little more than an annoyance to the guardian, and Jetfire, believing he had ironed out the bugs, received permission to test Thunderwing's polydermal grafting procedure on four Autobots, deciding things couldn't really get much worse. Spotlight: Hardhead
With the experiments taking a while, Jetfire decided to rebuild Bludgeon's axis cradle and use it to take control of, and shut down, Thunderwing. Spotlight: Doubledealer This saw him marked for death by Jhiaxus, who took remote mental control of Bludgeon's body on Garrus-9. Faced with a hideous monster about to kill and his own inability to move, Jetfire... calmly noticed how slowly Bludgeon was moving, worked out Jhiaxus was trying to control the monster and monitor pan-galactic fronts, and baited him with the imminent collapse of his strategy, causing Jhiaxus to freeze in panic.
After the crisis was over, Jetfire covertly monitored Gorlam Prime in its transformation into a new Cybertron. Spotlight: Sideswipe
On Earth
Three years later, Jetfire arrived on Earth after the Decepticons leveled the infrastructure of the Autobot war machine. Along with Seaspray and Windcharger, he was taken in by Optimus Prime's unit as a refugee from the devastation. Ride-Along However, just sitting in a cave absorbing the humans' primitive wireless signals drove him nuts, so after Prime abandoned the Autobots and surrendered to Skywatch, he joined Hot Rod when he decided to leave the planet. New Arrivals, Old Encounters As the group needed all the help they could get in getting off Earth, Hot Rod liberated several Decepticons from Skywatch and told Jetfire to undo their restraints using technology acquired from Wheeljack. Jetfire was hesitant about helping the enemy, but Hot Rod assured him that were no sides anymore. A Rude Awakening
Well, Hot Rod was wrong. Swindle and his Decepticons turned on Jetfire and the others after the starship was complete. Swindle even used some of the 'Cons Jetfire reactivated to create a new gestalt, Menasor. With the help of Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, Bumblebee's crew and the humans of Skywatch, Menasor was dismantled. As Rodimus fled the planet, Jetfire and the rest of the Autobots rejoined Bumblebee's command. Earthworks Jetfire was later present when the Autobots initiated an alliance with Skywatch. All His Engines
As part of the alliance, the Autobots gave the humans free access to Cybertronian technology, which concerned Jetfire. He had a discussion with Bumblebee, the new Autobot commander, who simply told him that they needed to trust the humans in order for the humans to trust them. The Autobots then found themselves thrust into action again as the Combaticons were spotted in North Korea fighting for their government. The Land Ironclads Jetfire was among the troops sent to defeat them, acting as air support against Vortex. However, Vortex was more than capable of fighting off a scientist like him, and cut open Jetfire's wing, sending him out of control. He crashed explosively into Broadside and was later seen receiving medical attention. Ranks of Bronze
Once the Combaticons were finally defeated, Jetfire and the Korea team returned to the United States, where they learned that Megatron had returned for vengeance. They rolled out to confront the Decepticon leader near Albuquerque, but Optimus Prime ordered the rest of the Autobots to stay back while he alone confirmed what was going on. Burning Chrome Prime later ordered Jetfire to fly into orbit and join Cosmos. He initially protested, as the Autobots might need air support against Megatron, but was told that the mission required a scientist instead of a warrior. Once in space, Jetfire helped Cosmos drop a Skywatch satellite right on top of Megatron. Enemy Mine
Six weeks later, Jetfire watched in shock as Rodimus returned to Earth with the stolen Matrix. From him, the Autobots learned that Cybertron had been rendered habitable again, and so they all departed Earth to chase Galvatron off their home planet. Orphans of the Helix En route, he and many others were curious as to what Optimus Prime would do with Megatron, now captured and imprisoned on board Omega Supreme. Chaos Theory #1 When they decided to hold a fair trial for him, Jetfire was tasked with contacting Chief Judge Tyrest to act as an unbiased party, though he had had no luck with it by the time they reached Cybertron. Lamentations
As Galvatron began firing at Cybertron's surface using Kimia Facility, all flying Autobots, including Jetfire, were ordered to attack it. Numbers Together with Broadside, he also performed an air strike on the Decepticons summoned to the planet by an escaped Megatron. Kings
Post-war Cybertron
Following the defeat of Galvatron, Jetfire stayed on a reborn Cybertron alongside most other Autobots. Dinobot Hunt Many months after the Chaos Event, Megatron returned to a rebuilt Iacon and was captured by the Autobots (but only after they were prevented from killing him), after which Jetfire, Bluestreak, and Warpath were assigned to guard him. City on Fire Soon enough, the Decepticon population came busting into the prison to free their leader, and Jetfire was cut down by Apeface while trying to get an injured Bluestreak to safety. The Verge Luckily, he and the other injured guards were hidden away from the rampaging Decepticons by a grateful Swindle. Heavy Is the Head
Jetfire eventually recovered from his damage, and joined the united Cybertronian front against 70 billion Ammonites invading on behalf of the "Dark Cyclops". Black Planet He helped hold the line while Optimus and Megatron saved the day. ...And the Damage Done Jetfire would watch as Megatron melted his fusion cannon in the aftermath of his surrender to the Autobots. slaughterhouse In the aftermath of Megatron's trial on Luna 2, Jetfire returned to Cybertron on a shuttle that also had Prowl on board, and later recounted to Jazz how furious Prowl had been that whole trip as the two heard him begin his latest outburst at Optimus. Detonation Boulevard
Return to Earth
Jetfire was later recruited for the Ark-7 crew to act as a pilot (much to his annoyance). Hello Cruel World The scientist was, however, given his own personal laboratory and was able to construct his own personal drone: D.0.C. Detonation Boulevard Jetfire was later present aboard the ship when it entered the atmosphere of Earth and was subsequently ordered by Optimus to take the ship into lunar orbit after a missile strike by the humans. Hello Cruel World Jetfire later attempted to exterminate the micro-bots that had formed from the human weaponry by using a fluid of his own design, but was saved the effort thanks to Prowl's team. Detonation Boulevard
Jetfire later reported that he had found the location of the EDC's mind bomb in the Marshall Islands, picking up its signal after it had been used on the Decepticons. The Mind Bomb When Jazz was sent to infiltrate the EDC base, Jetfire provided him with his newly created stealth paint to keep him invisible to all sensors. After Jazz confirmed Alpha Trion's being held captive there, Jetfire and D.0.C. joined Optimus and the other Autobots in an all-out assault on the base. Full Fathom Five Jetfire thought the situation had turned hopeless when the Decepticons and their ship, the Nemesis, had joined the battle, but continued to fight on until Prowl brought down the Nemesis and Devastator destroyed the base. As the Autobots left aboard Sky Lynx, Jetfire and D.0.C. went to work giving the rescued Alpha Trion medical attention. I Dream of Wires
When an alarm on the Ark-7 went off, indicating that the hangar airlock had been opened, Jetfire leapt into action with D.0.C. and Arcee. The scientist was left rather confused when Sky Lynx told how Optimus and Alpha Trion had simply left aboard the Skyroller, thinking it unlike Optimus to be so secretive. The Crucible While treating Trion in the medbay, Jetfire lectured Optimus on his taking the ancient Autobot out in his poor condition. When Optimus asked Jetfire to step outside so he could have a private chat with Trion, Jetfire agreed to, though not without voicing his unhappiness at being kept out of the loop. Signals, Calls, and Marches Jetfire was shocked when Prowl and the Constructicons returned to the Ark-7 with a spacebridge originally built by the Decepticons, although he did note that they could set up a duplicate on Cybertron to connect it to. When Long Haul commented on how high strung Prowl was as he shouted angrily during a private call, Jetfire replied that everyone was high strung these days. The Possible Light Jetfire thought that the crew should have been returning to Cybertron after recent events there concerning the Enigma of Combination, but Arcee instead wanted to him to take a closer look at an Onyx tablet she had acquired. After trying to tell Cosmos how D.0.C.—whom the lonely 'bot had befriended—wasn't really alive, Jetfire examined the tablet using Teletraan; thinking that looking at human code was a waste of time at first, Jetfire soon changed his tune when he discovered ancient Cybertronian source code within the device. Now and On Earth
Jetfire went on studying the tablet, soon discovering that its coding could communicate with the coding in other Onyx devices. When D.0.C. picked up a quantum signal within the coding, Jetfire volunteered to lead a mission that would use D.0.C. to track the signal to its source. Alongside Jazz, Kup, and Sky Lynx, Jetfire took D.0.C. to the island of Bouvetoya in Antarctica, where they found the quantum signal's source in a building. Before they could do anything, however, a group of Thrust/Ramjet clone-combiners emerged from the snow and smashed Jetfire into the ground, knocking him unconscious. The Nothing Man Now held prisoner in a secret chamber of the EDC's Bikini Atoll base along with the other Autobots, Jetfire was absolutely baffled when it was D.0.C. and Thundercracker's dog, Buster, who came to their rescue. Although Jetfire and the others were ready to battle the EDC after D.0.C. freed them, Jetfire's creation quickly explained to him that the EDC wasn't responsible. When the group went to confront their real captor, Garrison Blackrock, Jetfire listened as Galvatron suddenly arrived and explained Blackrock's true origins as a creation of Onyx Prime. Helden As the Autobots aimed their weapons at Galvatron, Jetfire wasn't too impressed with Jazz's plan for them to just shoot at the Decepticon leader, but it ended up becoming moot after Skywarp teleported Galvatron and himself out as quickly as they came. With the Decepticon-controlled Ark-7 headed for Shanghai and the EDC unable to convince the Chinese government to cooperate, Jetfire suggested the Autobots head there themselves. Unfortunately, with Sky Lynx still too injured to fly, this wasn't possible. Perihelion
Jetfire and the others were soon picked up by Optimus and his forces in the Skyroller and taken to the Autobots' new base at Thundercracker's northern homestead. Although Jetfire had reservations when Optimus asked him about using the Skyroller's systems to transmit a message across Earth and Cybertron, he still helped Prime in sending it. Once Upon a Time on Earth While there, the Skyroller received a transmission containing the last will and testament of various Lost Light crew members. He showed it to Optimus Prime, but sadly informed him that not only could he not reach the Lost Light, the message had been sent three weeks prior anyway. How Bright Their Frail Deeds After Prime returned from the White House missing an arm, Jetfire tried to get him to medbay but was rebuffed. Edge of the Earth As the Autobots were organizing an alliance with Soundwave's Decepticons to fight Galvatron, Prime had Jetfire scan Monument Valley for anything strange, having felt something in the vicinity, but he detected nothing. Jetfire then participated in the attack on Galvatron's underwater base. It's Beginning To And Back Again He was unable to help when Galvatron used the Enigma of Combination source code to separate Victorion and create his own combiners, it being too advanced for him, but provided the requisite technobabble to explain how Superion could break the code. As Above...So Below After the battle was won, the victors rested for a while on the ocean floor. No Fair Fights
Jetfire reported their results to Alpha Trion at new HQ, Autobot City, only for the signal to be mysteriously cut short after Trion mentioned a "problem" on his side. White Light The group was then attacked by EDC forces and fled back to Autobot City. White Heat A few months later, Jetfire and some of his comrades were on Cybertron to assist in relief efforts in the wake of Bruticus's rampage. Concorde Hymn
Bigger Problems
As more colonist Transformers arrived on Earth and treated Optimus Prime as their glorious messiah, Jetfire was asked by Aileron if Prime had always acted like he did recently, having known him since before the war. Jetfire responded that Prime had been different just a year prior, blaming his recent behavior on all the messiah stuff getting to him. To Walk Among the Chosen Later, after the Junkions' arrival on Earth, Jetfire interrupted Arcee to do a routine check up on the comatose Sideswipe, expressing frustration that his and D.0.C.'s efforts to stop Sideswipe's spark corrosion were amounting to very little. After the Junkion leaders Wreck-Gar and Rum-Maj arrived at Autobot City, Jetfire toured them around. Although Jetfire believed that the aliens had no worthwhile tech to offer them, he was soon proven wrong when Wreck-Gar spotted Sideswipe and revealed that they had in their possession a positron core, which could cure his spark corrosion and many others. A Lonely Pillar on the Plain That night, Jetfire discussed with Soundwave and Arcee what the Junkions' true motives could be, with Soundwave devising a plan to have Cosmos use Jetfire's stealth paint and infiltrate the Junkion ship to discover any ill intentions they may have; Jetfire quickly figured that Soundwave believed the Junkions would have no way of countering the stealth paint thanks to his having created it only after returning to Earth. Behind My Bleeding Back
Upon Optimus Prime's return from Cybertron, Jetfire reported Soundwave's continued absence and doubted the former Decepticon's assurance that everything was fine. On Prime's order, Jetfire contacted Soundwave to organise a meeting of Earth's leadership. He was later among the crowd of spectators as Pyra Magna challenged Prime for his lack of beliefs. Among the gathering of Earth's leaders, Jetfire witnessed the arrival of the hostile Junkions as Sharkticons swarmed Autobot City. Dance Among the Shadows He and Aileron rescued the human delegation from harm, before joining Sky Lynx in the air. As Soundwave turned the Sharkticons against their masters, the Junkions continued the battle. Future Glories Lost Prime made peace with the Junkions and Jetfire reflected on the change Optimus had made, giving him hope. Feel Safe Without Regrets
The prospect of being in charge while Optimus was away led Aileron to confide in Jetfire and he related to her feelings of loneliness, giving advice from personal experience. What It's Really Like He was among those present as Sideswipe died from his injuries, reporting his passing. He appeared as well at the start of Sideswipe's artificial 'dream', being one of several folks to greet him as he awoke. The Life of Sideswipe When Vigilem tried to take over Starscream's mind, Jetfire was among the manifestations brought forth from Starscream's memories by Windblade to help fend off Vigilem. Your First Mistake He also was present as Marissa Faireborn, Earth's representative in the Council of Worlds headed to Cybertron. When a terrorist attack on their homeworld caused the spacebridge nexus to fall off-line, Jetfire held back Gimlet from doing anything rash. As Aileron took charge, Jetfire noted that whatever happened to the bridge was probably caused on the other end, though wasn't familiar enough with the ancient technology to know how to get the bridge back online. He got to work anyway as Aileron took a team of colonists to search for Jazz. Primeless, Part 1 Returning to Autobot City, Aileron immediately tried to find out where Soundwave was from Jetfire. Having lost contact with him earlier, she reported the stash of weapons they had found and tried to get some rest. Primeless, Part 2
Following Onyx Prime's unexpected return on Cybertron, Jetfire sent Soundwave through Autobot City's spacebridge to their homeworld. Another Mine Soon afterwards, Jetfire watched a news report from Cybertron alongside Arcee and Aileron that told how the Spire had been struck by a devastating explosion, with Alpha Trion among the dead. Aileron demanded Jetfire activate the spacebridge so they could go help, but Arcee had some reservations. The decision was taken out of their hands by Metrotitan himself, however, who used his spacebridge to teleport himself and everyone aboard him to Cybertron; Arcee asked Jetfire if he could override the controls, but explained there was little he could do. The Ground Following Nemesis's attack on Metrotitan, Jetfire and the other Autobots aboard the Titan at the time managed to survive, although Jetfire had lost a leg. After witnessing Optimus be consumed by the Crystal City singularity, Jetfire agreed with Aileron that they need to figure out what was going on and act. When the group discovered Liege Maximo and Onyx's Maximals were hot on their heels, Jetfire tried to convince the others to leave him behind, but Aileron would have none of it. He was then taken to safety by the younger flier while Victorion clashed with Devastator and Arcee held off Maximo and the Maximals. The Hallowing
As the two limped away, Jetfire noticed Starscream conversing with the crippled Metrotitan before the two were approached by the undeniably alive Shockwave who proceeded to slay the Titan. While examining at their ally's destroyed head, Jetfire briefed his young friend on who "Onyx Prime" truly was and what had transpired during Shockwave's last scheme. Their attention was then drawn to the expanding black hole before Shockwave arrived, claiming to need Jetfire's aid in extracting Optimus from the singularity. Endless Forever Though Shockwave explained the properties of the realm Optimus was trapped in and the Prime's disembodied state, he refused to divulge his exact reason for needing the Prime. When the Torchbearers arrived, Shockwave cracked open his vial of tainted energon and allowed it to touch the expanding singularity and revealed to Jetfire that the "help" he really needed was bait for Pyra and, by random coincidence, Jetfire was just the closest choice to use. The minds of Bumblebee and Optimus Prime then leapt into Pyra's body who managed to disarm Shockwave and, despite her desire for vengeance, arrest him for his crimes. Unforgivable
As the threat of Unicron arrived, Jetfire joined Optimus Prime's fleet in confronting the Chaos Bringer's Maximal hordes in the skies over Caminus but was forced to retreat, leaving the colony to be devoured by Unicron. Last Stand
After a failed attack by the Decepticon Vengeance Division, the Chaos Bringer teleported to Cybertron and unveiled a massive robot mode with which to attack the planet. As ideas were debated, Bumblebee and Arcee revealed that Unicron was once the planet of Antilla. Invaded by the Thirteen millions of years prior, the Antillan race had converted their planet into Unicron as a means of revenge. As Unicron continued to chip away at Cybertron's defences, Soundwave proposed using the Enigma of Combination to combine the populace with the planet and fight off their foe, only for Jetfire to calculate that the result would be too small. Our Finest
Once Windblade and Ironhide sought out the aid of the Visionaries to teleport away Cybertron's populace, Metroplex followed via space bridge, everyone materializing in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park on Earth. Road's End As stock was taken and night fell, Jetfire brewed himself a pint. A Sunrise Dark
When Prowl and the crew of the Peaceful Revolution arrived, the tactician informed Jetfire that Unicron was leeching away the energy of the stars allowing him to deduce that Unicron had absorbed the supermassive black hole at the galaxy's centre, using its Q-tunnels to fuel its attacks only to be cut off from fully explaining it. When the time for the final attack came, Jetfire flew to Mount Rushmore. Assembly
After Shockwave had been captured with Stardrive establishing a connection between him, her, and the Enigma of Combination, Jetfire monitored Soundwave's usage of the network yet found himself at a loss for words when the communications chief managed to seemingly tap into the Afterspark, giving Optimus the psychic strength to stand up to and defeat Unicron's creator, collapsing the superweapon. As everyone space bridged into Mt. Rushmore, Jetfire watched the new age with a content smile. Ceremony
In the new era of peace, Jetfire boarded a science ship with the Colonist Soldiers. As they flew through an ice field, they picked up an anomaly six light years out and set course for it. Post
Spotlight: Mirage
With most of the Autobots defeated, the severely damaged Jetfire was with Optimus Prime's crew in the Pegasus Star Cluster, the last pocket of Autobot resistance in the galaxy. After the treacherous Mirage conned his way into their bunker and allowed the Decepticons in, he used Jetfire's life as a bargaining chip (despite Ratchet's best efforts to protect him) to get Optimus Prime to surrender. Hound refused to give up fighting until he realized just how badly Jetfire needed repairs.
But it was all Mirage's dream... or was it? Spotlight: Mirage
