Youth participation

Center for Digital Youth Care is the lead for the youth participation in SIC DK. They include both physical and digital youth panel. Both panels are facilitated by a volunteer young person and supported by the trained  staff in the Helpline. By using the combination of both online and digital youth panels, the helpline wishes to reach a group of children and young people in Denmark, who might not be reached otherwise. Both panel touches upon various topics, but has a focus on safety and security online and their perspectives on challenges online, risks and solutions.

The Center for Digital Youth Care believes that the involvement of children and young people must always be meaningful, characterized by genuine interest and respect. They should feel recognized and valued, and see themselves as experts in their own lives.
