It’s a Brand New Day
And just like that, I am 44. The Magnum Year of my life I suppose.
I am lucky to have made it this far. I wasn’t supposed to be here, for 41 was going to be curtains for the Om story. Somewhere, someone was watching out for me — and here I am. It is not just I am here — it is just that I am blessed with things that matter most — family, friends and a purpose to get up in the morning and do what I love most – GigaOM and writing! Thank You all of you for making everyday a brand new day.

What a Week: Two Awesome Thinkers I Met This Week
Despite the fact that I was quite unwell this whole week, it turned out to be one of the best weeks of 2010. Why? Because, I met two thinkers who have influenced much of my thinking in recent times. First I had coffee with Mike Kuniavsky, formerly of Adaptive Path and now CEO of ThingM. Mike has just released a brand new book, Smart Things, which should be on your must read list.
True Ventures hosted its third annual Founder’s Camp in San Francisco and invited many awesome speakers. One of them was Carnegie Mellon professor Jesse Schell. I wrote about him earlier this year and included an awesome talk he gave in Las Vegas. You gotta check it out.
These are the days which make me realize how fortunate I am, doing what I do.
Have a great weekend everyone.
