Madagascar Protected Areas and Biodiversity Fund’s Post

🌳A key event for regional and international cooperation! 🌴From 20 to 22 December, the 10th edition of the Regions International Days (JIR) was held in DIANA, under the theme ‘The DIANA Region, an investment hub for a sustainable economy’. 🏝As a partner in this event, FAPBM highlighted the wealth of local biodiversity, home to 19 protected areas, the largest number on the island. The three stands dedicated to the Platform of Protected Area Managers (PFGAP) DIANA, supported by FAPBM, highlighted the ecosystemic value of these areas. 👨FAPBM Administrator Jean Hervé Bakarizafy also took part in the panel on ‘Increasing regional attractiveness through sustainable tourism and conservation’. 🏞For several years, FAPBM has been supporting the sustainable management of these areas, funding 18 of the 19 sites in the region, essential support for both biodiversity and sustainable economic development. 🍂The JIRs, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Decentralisation and Town and Country Planning, the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade, EDBM and the DIANA Region, focused on partnership for regional development and international cooperation. 📢Together, let's become an actor of change by supporting the conservation of our national biodiversity. #Madagascar #AiresProtégées #Biodiversité #ProtectedArea #Biodiversity #SustainableFund #Conservation #fondationPourLaBiodiversité #Sustainablefinancing #CommunityledConservation
