WHEN LOOKING FOR A NEW ROLE…… I speak to many people on the lookout for an exciting new opportunity on a daily basis. One common question, ‘I have smashed quota 4 out of the last 6 years, do I mention the years I haven’t met quota?’ The answer, absolutely! A great manager will understand you won’t be able to smash quota by 10000% every time, but consistency is key. There will always be a reason behind why you haven’t, so own it and be honest. Being asked in interview why you didn’t hit quota is almost one of the best questions someone could ask, tell them why you didn’t and how you are using this experience to make sure you are better prepared next time. Having smashed my PB month 🎯📊 And to celebrate national Telephone day 📞 I’ve spent the whole morning finding new leads and cold calling businesses around the UK 🇬🇧 although it’s not often the most enjoyable part of the job it’s arguably the most important. Things to remember when cold calling : Start the call with high energy 🔋 Do your research on the lead your calling 📝 Get comfortable with rejection ❌ More importantly it’s all about numbers so the more you call the better 📞🎯 #creatingopportunities

🤝 UK Home Office to seek £250m Data & Analytics partner... 🔂 Currently they have various major deals in place, which it plans to replace with a single engagement with a ‘prime contractor’ that can provide a pipeline to specialist SMEs 🙏 The hope is that new supplier engagement will help “to improve performance, metrics and transparency, improve pipeline quality, ensure consistent availability of appropriately skilled professionals, and gain access to specialist SME capability”. ⏰ In the meantime, they will likely take up contract extension options with their existing suppliers, in order “to allow a gradual transition during 2025” as services are migrated from incumbent deals to the new prime contractor agreement. 💚 For full data on this sector, you can visit Tussell #publicprocurement #procurementdata
